Tabib Hotel shushtar (new name for Afzal House) is a unique old house in Shushtar full of architectural decorations such as plastering, brick works, stone works, colorful lattice windows and woodcarving doors.
Tabib Hotel shushtar has 4 floors: 1- Shavvadan- a vast underground area for escaping from heat (eight meters under ground), 2- Shabestan – a big hall (two meters under ground), 3- Main floor, 4- first floor (about nine meters high).
It has been used as the house and business hub of The Afzal and goes back to more than 200 years ago. After The Afzal a practitioner called Hadge Abolmohammad Tabib Shushtari owned the house and finally in 2014 it was turned into Tabib House Traditional Hotel.
